1st Workshop on Procedures for the Development of Evidence-based Recommendations for Immunization. Berlin, November 2010

The German Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Robert Koch-Institute held an international workshop on Procedures for the Development of Evidence-based Recommendations for Immunization, in Berlin, Germany, on November 22-23, 2010.

The meeting brought together representatives of national immunization committees or their scientific secretariats from the United States, Canada, and several European countries including the Netherlands, France, Austria, UK and Germany. Furthermore, experts from international organizations such as WHO, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), and the GRADE Working Group participated in the workshop.

The main objective of the workshop was to review and discuss applicable methodologies in developing evidence-based recommendations and the feasibility of international collaboration.
