Establishment of a migration-sensitive health monitoring at the Robert Koch Institute – Results of the IMIRA project

Issue 3/2019 of the Journal of Health Monitoring reports on the establishment of a migration-sensitive health monitoring at the Robert Koch Institute.

The first article analyses the health situation of 11- to 17-year-old children and adolescents with a migrant background in Germany using selected indicators.

The second article focuses on the further development of health reporting on migration and health. It outlines the development process of a set of (core) indicators to describe the health situation of people with a migrant background.

The third article provides information on the review and further development of relevant migration-related concepts. The aim is to better assess and reflect the diversity of the population in Germany in the long-term and, at the same time, to advance health research in the context of migration.
