Public Health Journal for Germany. Quelle: RKI

JUNE 2024
ISSUE 2

Issue 2/2024 is the first issue after the switch to a continuous publication schedule. It summarises the articles published during the last quarter. It is preceded by an editorial outlining recent development in the Journal of Health Monitoring.

The theme of this issue is diabetes mellitus. It is introduced by an editorial, followed by two Focus articles and two Fact sheets.

The Focus by Heidemann et al. provides a comprehensive insight into the health and health care situation of people with diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The second Focus by Buchmann et al. presents the results of the GEDA Fokus (2021/2022) survey on diabetes-related data of people of selected citizenships.

The Fact sheets look at the temporal development and socioeconomic differences in diabetes-related lower limb amputation rates (Tuncer et al.) and present the results on the prevalence of gestational diabetes in Germany, analysing regional socioeconomic differences for the first time (Reitzle et al.).
