Museum and mausoleum
The museum at the Nordufer site shows how the Robert Koch Institute researches risks and protective factors for the health of the population and which relevance the ideas and discoveries of Robert Koch and his scholars still have. In addition, the mausoleum where Robert Koch was buried is open to visitors during museum opening hours. At present, the museum can only be visited by groups by appointment. The artwork ‘With open eyes’ on the north bank is a reminder of how closely the Robert Koch Institute, as a state research institution, was involved in the National Socialist policy of violence.
